Reliance Model Economic Township (MET), developed by a fully owned subsidiary of Reliance Ventures Limited—a 100% subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited—is an ambitious project situated in the Jhajjar district of Haryana. The project aims to transform this industrially backward district into a premier business destination in North India. Spanning over 8,250 acres, Reliance Met City is envisioned as an integrated industrial, residential, and commercial township.
The project’s primary goal is to establish a self-contained community featuring modern infrastructure and amenities. This includes the development of industrial plots, residential areas, and commercial zones, along with essential facilities such as schools, hospitals, and recreational spaces. Approved by the Government of Haryana, the MET project adheres to the Industrial Model Township framework, encompassing areas in both Jhajjar and parts of Gurgaon.
Reliance MET has kickstarted development over approximately 1703 acres after obtaining an Industrial colony license. Panasonic India Pvt Ltd. (~75 acres) and Denso Haryana Pvt Ltd. (~18 acres) are already operational, providing employment to around 2000 people. Industrial plots, available on a freehold basis, come with all necessary infrastructure utilities. Plots are offered in various sizes, ranging from 1000 Sqm to 24 Acres, catering to different industrial needs.
Reliance MET City Jhajjar is designed to be a fully integrated city, offering attractive living options for individuals of all backgrounds. Residential developments will cater to various affordability levels, ensuring inclusivity and smart living spaces for everyone. Emphasizing the “walk to work” concept, colonies are strategically planned for convenience. Plots will be available for both group housing and plotted development, providing diverse housing choices for residents.
MET offers premium commercial plots strategically located within its licensed industrial colony. These plots come in varying sizes and cater to both residential retail markets and industrial/commercial wholesale markets.
Reliance MET City Residential Plots are located on the main Gurgaon Jhajjar State Highway 15-A (Gurgaon Jhajjar Road) near Farukhnagar, Haryana.
Reliance MET Jhajjar features a dedicated water supply system sourced from the NCR Canal. The water undergoes treatment in a modern facility before being distributed through a specialized pipeline network to industries within the MET. This infrastructure guarantees uninterrupted access to high-quality water for industrial units. With an approved allocation of 100 MLD and an 18 km water pipeline, along with essential components like a Water Treatment Plant, Master Balancing Reservoirs, and a SCADA-controlled Distribution System, Reliance MET ensures reliable water supply.
Reliance MET Industrial Plots receive strong government support through tax incentives and subsidies, fostering investment and growth while creating employment opportunities and enhancing living standards. As a key player in the “Make in India” initiative, Reliance MET Jhajjar contributes to the nation’s development strategy.Â
The drainage and sewerage system is meticulously planned to manage wastewater and sewage, integrating sewage and effluent treatment plants for environmentally responsible disposal. Communication is streamlined through a reliable high-speed system, including fiber optic connectivity and robust telecom networks for seamless data transfer. Moreover, a robust safety and security framework ensures the well-being of individuals and assets, featuring CCTV surveillance and round-the-clock security measures. These integrated infrastructure elements create an optimal environment for industrial activities.
Reliance MET Jhajjar boasts a robust power supply infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted electricity to industrial units. This dedicated network offers reliable and cost-effective power, designed to meet the needs of industries in the MET. Utilizing supercritical technology, the power sub-station is both efficient and eco-friendly, connected to the national grid for a dependable electricity source.
Reliance MET City, strategically located within Delhi NCR near the state border, is surrounded by agricultural zones in neighboring development plans. Its proximity to key areas like Farukhnagar, Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh, Gurgaon, and Najafgarh adds to its appeal. Government recognition as a controlled urban area positions MET for organized development, integrating with major infrastructure projects like DMIC and western DFC for regional economic growth.
Reliance MET City plots land & slopes gently towards drainage channels at about 215 meters above sea level. Its sturdy soil and distance from Sultanpur National Park allow development. Water management relies on channels like Gurgaon and NCR for drinking water, plus Najafgarh Drain for excess rainwater.Â
